6 Policy options Option I: The country does not participate in JI and International Emissions Trading Option II: The country is involved in JI and IET but only the Government is allowed to trade Option III: Participation of legal entities in JI and/or Emissions Trading

7 Registry structure in Option I Types of units - assigned amount units (AAUs) and removal units (RMUs) Types of accounts - a holding account, a retirement account and a cancellation account Basic transactions - issuance, cancellation and retirement of AAUs and RMUs, carry-over of AAUs Commitment period reserve (CPR) - holdings of AAUs and/or RMUs

8 Registry structure in Option II Additional types of units - ERUs and CERs Additional accounts - specifically created holding, retirement, and a cancellation accounts to record ERUs and CERs Additional transactions - issuance of ERUs, transfer and acquisition of AAUs, ERUs, (CERs) and RMUs Commitment period reserve (CPR) - holdings of AAUs and/or RMUs, ERUs, CERs Additional information - about Article 6 projects
