G-NIKE Transforming Enterprise Conference, US Dept. of Commerce, Washington 28 January 2003 The Growth Node Concept G-NIKE project positions the growth-node as: an evolution of the cluster concept that emphasises the external networking dimensions, in addition to the cross-industry, knowledge transfer, social learning conventionally associated with clusters. Thus, we define growth node as:  A high-performing geographical cluster of organizations and institutions  networked to other clusters, i.e. other nodes, and  potentially supported by ICT.
