HINDUISM The symbol Aum Hindus believe in one God: Brahma. He takes the form of many different gods and goddesses.

The Trimurti Brahma – the Creator. Vishnu – the Preserver Shiva – the Destroyer

Worship This is a PUJA tray. Hindus worship in the Mandir or at home. Puja means prayer.

HINDUS Originated in the area around the River Indus. Have a caste system. Believe in re-incarnation. Believe everything has a soul. Have a sacred book called The Bhagavad-Gita.

BUDDHISM Buddhists do not worship a god. They follow the teachings of one man, Siddattha Gotama. He is called the Buddha as a title meaning: The Enlightened One.

SIKHISM Guru Nanak was the first Sikh Guru. He was raised as a Hindu and worked among Muslims and the Sikh faith has elements of both incorporated within it.

The Holy Book There were 10 Sikh gurus. After the 10 th it was decided that everything had been recorded and that the role of the guru could now be taken by the Holy Book. THE GURU GRANTH SAHIB
