Logging In To login, go to http://www.experimetrix.com/usbhttp://www.experimetrix.com/usb You can click on sign.up to sign-up for a new experiment or click on log.in to see your scheduled experiments and credits, and sign up for experiments.

Log-in Information To login, use your blackboard/sparky username (typically your first initial and the first 7 letters of your last name). Your password is your 9 digit SOLAR ID number.

Scheduling Options Once you are logged in, you will see your credit balance (the number of credits you’ve earned), any experiments you’ve completed and any pending experiments. You may sign up for a new experiment, edit your email address and password (recommended) or assign credits you’ve earned to particular courses.

Signing up for Experiments When signing up for experiments, you will see a list of available experiments. To search for experiments at specific dates and times, click on search.experiments. To see restrictions (e.g. right-handed, over 18, etc…) or available times click the view schedule button.

Scheduling Your Appointment Time After clicking the view schedule button, a list of available times will be presented. Click on the sign up button for a date and time you are available. You will be asked to re-enter your login information for a specific appointment.

Appointments Once the appointment is made, you will see it on the main menu window after you log-in. You may cancel your appointment up to 24 hours before the appointment. If you need to cancel within the last 24 hours before the experiment for an emergency, email the experimenter using the link on the main menu page.

Important Information You are obligated to attend each experiment that you sign up for. Failure to show will result in a penalty of –1 credit. Penalties may be administered if you cancel within the last 24 hours by contacting the experimenter. This is at the experimenter’s discretion. You should edit your information to include an email address so that you will receive email confirmation of your appointment, a reminder of your appointment, and notice if an experimenter cancels the appointment.
