Outside Employment Online System (OEOS)

Go to the Ethics Commission home page at: www.montgomerycountymd.gov/ethics www.montgomerycountymd.gov/ethics Click Outside Employment on the left and select OEOS at the drop down menu Sign into the system using your county log on ID and password

Click the “New Request” box to create a new outside employment request

Please read the instructions before beginning the process

Fill out any information not already auto-populated Click Next to proceed

Fill out all requested information about the outside employer

Be specific when filling out this portion of the employer information Click Next to continue or Previous to go back a page

Enter information specific to your outside employment position Click Next to continue or Previous to go back a page

Select Yes or No for each question Click Next to continue or Previous to go back a page

Click the certification box Click Finish to complete your OE request form or Previous to go back a page

Click the “My Requests” box to view your requests and their statuses

Click the drop down menu to filter your search Click View under View Status to see your request and any imposed conditions A pending request can be withdrawn by clicking the Withdraw button in the last column

The system does NOT retain drafts, so please submit the request before exiting the system. You will be notified by e-mail when: You have submitted a new request Your request has been approved by your Department/Agency Head (or designee) Your request has been considered by the Ethics Commission Your request is expiring and has expired (approvals are limited to three years or less).
