KKK Revival KKK History Founded in 1866 by ex-Confederate soldiers Anti-Reconstruction “Invisible Empire” Terror tactics to intimidate former slaves Lynching, burning houses and businesses If any African American became “too” successful the Klan would try to keep African Americans in what they viewed as their place.
