HEALTH INSPECTOR LAB Conclusion CLEVR Method! CLaim: what was your hypothesis? Was it correct or not? Evidence: give at least two pieces of data to support your claim that your hypothesis was correct or incorrect. Reasoning: why did your data turn out this way? Use science concepts. This is NOT errors in your experiment. You may need background information to answer this.

CLEVR Conclusion Example My hypothesis, that Justin Bieber fans would scream louder than Taylor Swift fans because they are more likely to be male and have booming voices, was incorrect. My data shows that Taylor Swift fans yelled at a range of 93.4 to 98.9 decibels, while Justin Bieber fans yelled at a range of 87.1-90.3 decibels. An explanation for these results is the make-up of each audience. The average age of Taylor Swift fans was 8.5, while Justin Bieber fans were 13.2. According to my observations of children ages 8-14 at Lake Wilderness Elementary, Tahoma Middle, and Tahoma Junior High Schools, younger children were more excitable and likely to scream. Also, they jumped more often, possibly causing more noise from bouncing on the concrete floor of Key Arena.

How Bacteria Cause Disease Bacteria cause disease in two general ways: Breaking down cells for food Ex: Necrotizing fasciitis is caused mainly by Streptococcus pyogenes (‘flesh-eating bacteria); the bacteria release chemicals that digest cells Release toxins that harm the body Ex: Tetanus is caused by Clostridium tetani; the bacteria release toxins that damage cells in the brain and spinal cord, causing spasms and paralysis
