What is a forensic pathologist ? The forensic pathologist performs autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death. Study of structural and functional changes in the body as a result of injury. Witness in the court of law.

Anatomic pathologistsClinical pathologists Diagnose disease by measuring chemicals and cells in blood, sputum, bone marrow, and urine. Perform autopsies and analyze tissues taken from patients during surgery or by biopsy.

What training is required to become a forensic pathologist? Four year college degree. Four years of medical school 3-5 years residency training program in general pathology. One year specialty training program in forensic pathology at a medical examiner's or coroner's office
