ADAPTATION TO THE NEW PROGRAMMING PERIOD (2/2) Phase 2 (04-2008 – 12-2008) Transition of an instrument-based to a user-oriented approach Through a grid of key-words all the information on operational programmes, related funding schemes, project examples, regional service providers and networks will be interrelated Three funds and EU-Programmes ! User-friendly visualisation of the information context Integration of a geographical information system: Funding information can be visualised for subregions and towns Increase Transparency: The list of beneficiaries of the funds will be fully integrated in the database Wolf Born, Information Office Mecklenburg-Vorpommern to the EU, Brussels

CONCLUSIONS Integrate and innovate! In practice it is difficult to have different funds under one umbrella! Provide knowledge instead of information by adding the context Make your product attactive for the user by offering different accesses through modern means of visualisation and geographical information systems eMeasures in Information and Publicity should provide an added value to the citizen – they are not an end in itself!
