Policing is a unique job with unique demands. It’s not easy, but it is rewarding - packed full of new and interesting experiences - and the key to making local communities safe places to visit, work and live in. A modern police officer's role is about more than working to reduce crime. It is now as much about reducing the fear of crime, working in partnership with communities to make a real difference and improve quality of life for everyone. As a police officer you will operate on the front line, supporting victims and witnesses, providing reassurance and instilling confidence. You will also be in a position to make a proactive contribution to your area, building up relationships and trust. You need to be able to do the following:

A degree will be helpful for fast track to leadership Ideally be in your early 20s when you apply What does it take to become a Police Officer? You need the following qualifications and experience:
