4 ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIES OF DECISION MAKING Introduced Working Group Concept Working Groups was Cross-Sectoral Representatives from different Departments Chaired by Commissioner City Development Committee formed Community organizations became direct involved in the process Led to Political Support Reached out to community Chaired by Elected Members Spread to other cities and became a very useful process in the Post-Tsunami rebuilding activities

10 Mainstreaming Local Level Greater Co-ordination between different departments in Council Heads of Departments/Working Group Meeting, Effective Working Group Meetings ‘upgraded’ to City Development Committee / SCP Meeting/……. chaired by an Elected Member – Process Integrated as a routine activity.
