Beginning Project Management Why a course in Project Management? Beginning Project Management This course provides the basic PM concepts and knowledge to meet CCCTE Standards and for those who want to pursue a career in Project Management This course consists of ten Units that span the disciplines of Project Management The Course: 10/4/20154

1.Overview – set course requirements and quick look at Units 2.Scope – development of SOW, Work Packages, and life cycle 3.Schedule – scheduling types and link to Work Packages 4.Financials – development and control of cost and revenue 5.Quality – application of quality tools to project management 6.Risk – identification, analysis, alternative methods of handling 7.Human Resources – matrix organization and roles of the Team 8.Procurement – contracts, acquisition of material and manpower 9.Communications – internal, with Management, and external 10.Integration – of life cycle phases and project components 10/4/20155 Beginning Project Management

Students would receive 35 hours of lecture/demonstration on the core components of Project Management Students would receive 10 hours of lab work with MS Project to work on a common project of developing project plan to build a house This will satisfy the Project Management Institute’s 35 hour educational requirement for Professional Certification 10/4/20156 Beginning Project Management
