The history of the EGTC - -The establishment of the Rába-Duna-Vág Limited European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (RDV EGTC) was initiated by the Chair of the Komárom-Esztergom County Council in 2010. - -The original idea aimed at the integrated development of the Hungarian-Slovak section of the Danube, which plays a geographically dominant role within the framework of the forming Danube Strategy. - -Accordingly, Györ-Moson-Sopron County (HU), as well as Trnava (SK) and Nitra (SK) counties were invited to participate in the cooperation.

Assembly of the Rába–Duna–Vág EGTC ( 10th Jun 2011.), election of the chairman and co-chairman of the EGTC Starting of the approval process in Hungary and Slovakia (21st September 2011.) By resolution kept by the Metropolitan court in Budapest on 10th of December 2011 the EGTCs establishing process was completed On 1st January 2012 start of EGTCs actual operation with its seat at Tatabánya

Organisation structure of the Rába-Duna-Vág EGTC - -General assembly - the main decison making body of the Grouping - 3 members- 3 chairmen of founder regions - The common votes of the Hungarian General assembly members are considered to be equal to the vote of the Slovak member ( Chairman-Slovak, co-chairman-Hungarian, Director-Slovak) - -Supervisory Board - the general supervising body of the EGTC - 4members - Checks on behalf of the founders the administrative activities of the organization, compliance with the legal regulations, execution of the General Meeting Resolutions - -Specialized committees - under formulation

Organisation structure of the Rába-Duna-Vág EGTC Management: - -Director- management body controlling the operational activities of the Grouping and is appointed for two years - -Head of office- Responsible for adminsitrative tasks of the Grouping. The secretariat operates at the seat of the Grouping in Tatabánya

Finances - -Resources - Grounding fee 2 000 Euro/ member-SK, 1 000 Euro/ member-HU - Membership fee 3 500 Euro/year - Projects for ensuring the functional expenses financed by Ministry of Justice and Public Affairs of Hungary 40 000 Euro/ year

Activities,plans - -Preparation of the Rába-Duna-Vág Joint Development Strategy (the part situation assessment is already elaborated. It aims to explore the formed EGTC's internal system of relation and to examine the regional, economic and social conditions of the joint developments) - -Setting up of specialized committes ( Committe for Agriculture is under establishment) - -Preparation of integrated territorial investment of the EGTC (Complex cross-border development inf field of agriculture, the main stakeholders of the program are already identified) - -Collecting and elaborating project ideas for future programming period - -Taking part as observer in Steering Committee of Hungarian- Slovak Cross border cooperation program
