What is it? Students assume the role of ambassadors to the United Nations. They represent another country and try to solve world problems from that countries perspective.

What do you do? Research information about a country Research information about world problems Write resolutions to solve problems Give speeches Debate issues Compete against other high schools for awards

What’s in it for me? Find out about the world and other countries Looks good on college applications Most colleges including RCC have a Model United Nations Team that goes to New York for a week to compete - fun, usually free and fantastic for sight seeing
