2. Portraits of Canada CRIC survey conducted by Environics Research Group and CROP. 2,939 adult Canadians were surveyed by telephone between September 27 and October 16, 2002. Results of a survey of this size can be considered accurate to within plus or minus 1.8 percent, nineteen times out of twenty.

Attitudes Toward Government These days, what kind of impact do you think governments have on most people’s lives– a positive impact, a negative impact, or don’t governments have much impact on most people’s lives? Generally speaking, would you say you favor: a smaller government with fewer services, or a larger government with more services?
