3 Task 1: Define the status and responsibilities of the SCM Definition SCM are ambassadors of the network, they are identified as Innovmed members in special occassions. 4 Task 2: Define the identity of the Innovmed network The Innovmed network is defined by: A mission: promote innovation in governance as an instrument to improve social conditions A mission: promote innovation in governance as an instrument to improve social conditions An ambition: become a platform of expertise, exchanges and knowledge sharing, adding value to governments efforts An ambition: become a platform of expertise, exchanges and knowledge sharing, adding value to governments efforts A set of values A set of values The network is inspired by the normative values of good governance: integrity, transparency, participation, social inclusion, accountability, gender equality The network intends to contribute to the promotion of the knowledge based society in the region, by assuming a culture of evaluation, supporting research in governance, assuring transparency and free access to public information as well as promoting critical thinking in public affairs Practical application of identity A memorandum of understanding that institutional members and new members sign A memorandum of understanding that institutional members and new members sign Including the normative aspects of governance in the criteria to validate innovations Including the normative aspects of governance in the criteria to validate innovations

14 Task 12: Case studies Make use of existing methodologies (Harvard, WB) (adapted to the regional needs and conditions) in order to transform the innovations included in the database into case studies Case studies could be used for in service training as well as regular teaching in higher education institutions

15 Task 13: Simulation events Officials from different countries meet to develop exercises of simulation.
