Getting to the places where other technologies cannot reach, working to establish a broadband service in Castilla y León region with satellite technology 2 The main goal of the interna-T initiative is to close the digital gap and move towards a broadband service in Castilla y León region that uses satellite technology for end user access, with sufficient specifications for the use of the new Internet-based services and a price that is not an insuperable hurdle for customers when considering signing up to the service. Area: 94,223 Km 2 Population: approx. 2.5 million Amount of towns/cities/villages: 5,800+ Villages with less than 100 inhabitants: 3,700+ Population over 50 years: approx. 40%

(*) Homes based on 2.5 people per family

Low cost Available in rural areas and contexts where there is no telecom offering or in places where carriers have no interest in offering a service A solution that takes weather changes into account and which quickly adapts to these changes in terms of coding and modulation

Getting to the places where other technologies cannot reach, working to establish a broadband service in Castilla y León region with satellite technology 5 The Internet service is provided via coverage from the KA-SAT satellite, a high throughput satellite (HTS) which works entirely on KA band and covers the whole of Europe The initial service offers for individuals and businesses in Castilla y León is: Basic Service 6: 6Mbps/1Mbps (downlink/uplink); FAP: 4GBytes/month Advanced Service 10: 10Mbps/2Mbps (downlink/uplink); FAP: 13GBytes/moonth A modem (internal unit) with power supply A 77-cm satellite dish Up to 25 metres of cable Furthermore, the Interna-T initiative provides inhabitants with equipment and basic installation for free, thanks to funding from the Castilla y León Regional Government

In other words, all inhabitants - regardless of where they live - and their companies - regardless of where they are located - have access to high-speed Internet
