2. B B B Before Christmas streets are lit by coloured lamps; shops are full of people buying presents for family and friends. Piotrkowska Street in Lodz

3. O On Christmas Eve, 24 December we have Christmas supper. Traditionally there should be twelve dishes and they must all be tasted. The most popular dishes are red borch, pies or sour cabbage with mushrooms, fish (always carp) and poppy-seed cake.

4. We always decorate our tables for dinner and Christmas tree!! And we sing carols!

5. The first day and second of Christmas, 25 and 26 December are usually spent at home with family. Work is forbidden!

6. After Christmas it’s time for New Year’s Eve!
