A Moon is an object that orbits around a planet. Earth only has 1 moon. The moon does not have any light but its light is reflected from the Sun. The moon takes the same time to rotate on its axis as it takes to orbit the Earth (about 27 days.) Because of this we only see one side of the moon. We call the other side The Dark Side of the Moon. It is actually not dark as it gets the same amount of sun as the side that faces the Earth. The moon orbits around the Earth.
