Homework Tips Show interest in your child’s assignments and discuss plans for completing them. Be a role model. Read or do paperwork while your child studies or completes homework. Check their homework calendar, website, or www.new.schoolnotes.com to help your child organize their assignments. Eliminate opportunities for forgetting homework by enforcing a mandatory homework time. In joint-custody families have similar homework procedures in both households. For writing assignments and projects, help your child focus and organize, talk through ideas, read drafts, and offer suggestions.
