2 Test Folders Will go home every Thursday If they do not go home, a note will be sent Includes number of graded papers Includes number of D’s and F’s specifically Both Mrs. Flores and Mrs. Ricks Papers will be in the folder Sign and return all D and F grades Write any questions on the space or send a note

3 Daily Expectations Respect Ability to work in groups with different classmates Responsibility for all materials in ELA binder and various folders Write homework and announcements in agenda

4 Math & Common Core This year students will receive a math textbook in addition to some handouts for extra practice. We are not following the chapters in order Students are being taught according to Common core standards. This looks different than the traditional way that most adults learned. I am teaching according to common core standards but also incorporate the way we used to learn as well It is imperative that students are exposed to both ways of learning so that they can be successful both in life with critical thinking problems and standardized tests they take in the future.

5 Common Core, PARRC and Standardized Testing The definite dates of the common core tests are Science and Social Studies are.
