What helped most: Attending the FPM Training Hearing from the reviewers themselves Getting an understanding of the requirements Getting helpful ideas on clearing items Becoming familiar with the CAIS system Viewing the CAIS webinar Becoming familiar with the monitored items

What helped most: Starting early Time to take items to School Site Councils, Board of Trustees Time to collect or create required items Response time from reviewer Tracking success; it feels so good!!!

What helped most: Developing working relationships with others Site administration Fiscal services department Your FPM reviewers Phone conversations- the reviewers really are helpful! Yo ur assistant!

What I should have done differently: Start on all monitored sections, instead of one at a time Follow up with delegated “assignments” more often

Notifications of findings Reviewer posts that the item does not meet requirements The reviewer explains what must occur to clear the item 45 day timeline (calendar days) Extension of 180 days can be requested

How we are clearing those two items: Both items involve the School Site Council updating their SPSA to show the SSC knew of additional funding One item also includes bringing the updates SPSA to the Board of Trustees for approval We will be requesting an extension of the due date to the fall New SSC members chosen (September) Updated SPSA approved at SSC meeting (October) Updated SPSA approved at Board of Trustees meeting (December)
