2 In the Medical Field there are a lot of careers like the following : 1. Physical Therapists 2. Medical Assistant 3. Medical Billing and Coding 4. Veterinary 5. Veterinary Technician Even though all of this careers are amazing I would Love to be a Veterinary Technician ^.^

3 The role of a vet tech is changing due to recent litigation and trends occurring in the industry. Veterinary technologists cannot diagnose, prescribe or perform surgery under the law, they can administer anesthesia. The National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America lists the following as examples of the duties and responsibilities of veterinary technicians: Client Education · Caring for the Hospitalized Patient · Administration of Medication and Vaccines Clinical Laboratory Procedures Dental Prophylaxis · Radiology Anesthesiology · Surgical Assisting Office/Hospital Management · Biomedical Research

4 Agriculture Animal Health Technology Program at California the requirements for becoming a veterinary technician vary from state to state based upon the laws governing the practice of veterinary medicine and/or veterinary technology. However in many most states where there are actually requirements to be a "veterinary technician" you must be a graduate of an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited college degree program in veterinary technology, have passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and have passed a state exam. It requires 4 years of college and an additional 4 years of veterinary medicine. Internship or residency is not required but offered to achieve advanced qualification.

5 Salary $$$$$ The annual salary for a vet tech can vary by where you live and your education level, but the average range is between 30,000 and 40,000 a year Some advantages are that you can always know what is wrong and you get to travel everywhere. Plus you get to see lots of exotic animals you've never seen before. Some of the advantages are: To have a profession To be able to help animals and their caretakers To work in a field that is always in demand

6 Radiograph Technology: Radiographs are helpful in accessing an animal's bones and identifying any dense matter. For instance, radiographs are helpful in determining if bones are broken or if an animal has arthritis. Ultrasound Technology: Ultrasounds are used to look at the soft matter inside an animal's body, such as the heart and other organs. Ultrasound technology can study the shape of an object, as well as monitor the way it moves and functions. For instance, an ultrasound can watch the way a Heart Beats and distributes blood. Laser Technology: The advent of laser technology in veterinary medicine has helped veterinarians perform certain surgeries faster and with less pain and blood loss than traditional procedures. Laser technology replaces the need for a surgical blade and is often used when declawing cats and performing surgeries on the eyes, eyelids and ears.
