7 Executive Committee Report Fall Regional meetings are on track. All regional chairpersons were given their F & B budgets and encouraged to get sponsorships for the event. The numbers for this year’s convention were not available at this time, but would be at our August meeting. Brand re-imaging update stated that around 100 properties have done nothing to re-image. –Default notices to these properties were issued June 15. –A report will be given at our August IOC meeting on the revenue performance versus local competitive set of the re-imaged properties. –A copy of the email from Brent Russell is distributed to show we can use up all our consumables with old logo first without FSD penalty.

Choice is negotiating, but thinks it will increase to $3.75 soon. The new ECRM initiative was discussed The new ECRM initiative was discussed –It has two components  the analytic engine that crunches and scrubs the data (the who, what, where and how)  the campaign management tool that will recognize customers and their habits to allow us to target market them specifically and directly –It will also be used for guest satisfaction surveys

The Advertising Campaign is showing results shown in research The Advertising Campaign is showing results shown in research –Reaction to the ad is favorable –Shows increases in brand awareness  Comfort retained 97%  Comfort Suites went from 76% to 80%  Quality went from 86% to 87%  Sleep went from 44% to 49%  Clarion went from 70% to 72%  MainStay went from 13% to 16% Shows increase in calls going through 800-4choice –Previous call volume was 8% vs. 34% during ads

Travel and Vacation Directory update Travel and Vacation Directory update –New online review of your directory listing with deadline of July 10 –2003 directory will have 4-color picture of property with listing –2002 directory included an atlas, but with a new vendor, our costs reduced from $.834 to $.814 per copy –Directories will no longer be required to be placed into guest rooms, a rack card will be shipped in November with the directories to instruct guests on how to get a copy of the directory
