3  The Paiutes gathered all together for big time.  They also gathered for funerals.  They gathered for something called yaxape.

4  They ate big and small animals. They also ate berries and pine nuts for chewing gum. They ate birds,reptiles,fish, and insects.

5  They lived in cone shaped wickiups and lived in southern Utah and parts of Arizona,California and parts of Nevada.

6  They dressed in animal skin shirts and pants. They wore skin from big and small animals.

7  Some famous people of the Paiute Indians are Paiute Jim,me-kwi-uk and kwi-toos.the Paiutes did not have chiefs that made the decisions the chiefs just had suggestions. They had a group of people that made decisions.

8  The Paiutes had been taken advantage of by other tribes of Indians.  They helped the Mormon pioneers survive in the wild and find food

9  The Paiute Indians tribe had 900 people in the tribe.  In Nevada they only had 65 people in the tribe.

10  The tribe had a big massacre  It was called the mountain meadow massacre.  Still to this day forward Paiutes swear that their ancestors did not have a part the massacre.

11  Did the Paiutes swim to catch fish?  Did they know about anywhere else in the world except where they lived?  Did they know that they were on just a small part of the earth?
