My Enigma My enigma is the Machu Picchu or the Lost Cities. It was estimated to hold about 1,200 people. The Incan built it. It is supposedly a place for the rich. It is in the Majestic Andes Mountains.

What is the question or theory of this Enigma? The theory of this enigma is that it was a retreating place for the king of Pachacuti The question is how did they build it with old time tools.

Who discovered the Machu Picchu? His name is Hiram Bingham. He found the Machu Picchu in 1911. We’ve known for about 101 years.

What have scientists found out about the Machu Picchu? They have found out that it was built in the 1500’s and it was built by the Incan people on a high mountain. Used bronze and silver to make tools to build the city.

Do the scientists agree about Machu Picchu? No, they argue over if it was a summer city or not. They also argue over whether or not it was used for over a 100 years.

What dilemmas are involved in this? Scientists keep getting new hypotheses so they cant decide.

How has the understanding of the Machu Picchu? Finding out more by studying the land. They also found tools at Machu Picchu

5 Interesting Facts Made with only tools they had back then. Made of pure granite. On a mountain way above sea level. Built very carefully and skillfully. 1,500 feet above a river.

How do I think it was created? Over a 2-4 years the Incan people built this city. It would take a lot of men and would be very dangerous and hard.
