Development of Ta-Hin Women Group 1.Starting with making Dogmai Jan (artificial flowers for funeral rite) 2.Then evolved to ‘Node-Na-Le’ ecotourism group, promoting imcome for locals along with preserving natural resource [Node = Sugar Palm; Na = Paddy field; Le = Lake] 3.Civic council was established which in turn strengthened the community 4.Welcomed by, and received cooperation from, relevant local government agencies

Objectives 1.To promote participation of community, local administrative organizations, and other relevant sectors, in sustainable management of Songkhla Lake Basin. 2.To develop instrument for monitoring achievement of activities, promoting basin management, making it a learning model for other communities. 3.To prepare knowledge, experiences & learned lessons for exchange with Tonle Sap counterpart.

Selecting implementation site: 1.Evidence of natural capital, traditional knowledge and wisdom relating to livelihood linked to Songkhla lake 2. There are key community leaders who are willing to cooperate with the project 3.Evidence of other community’s activities, possibly in other dimensions 4.Community has experiences in collaborating with other agencies / sectors, and integrating their activities and overall macroscopic project
