Facebook Success Strategy Working Through The Specifics
2
Social Media has continued to grow over the last 5 years The last 12 months have been one of the largest growths for use of social media for all things – including business There are hundreds of businesses and business women and men who can attribute social media as the driving force of their business There are hundreds more businesses who’s entire revenue is generated from helping other businesses with social media
3
Every “Social Media Guru” say the same things (with some variance of course) “Create engagement with your friends and followers” “Post things your friends and followers are interested in” They make it all sound so easy What they don’t talk about is how to set up a business page (and more importantly one for mortgage professionals)
4
The fact is, there are certain technical things a MORTGAGE PRO can do to tap into the marketing resource social media can be As a group, we can work together to set up our MORTGAGE PRO pages As a group we can work together on how to use them properly As a group we can share ideas for creating those Golden “engagements”
5
One of the main reasons we don’t have a good “social media” strategy is we feel over whelmed There's: LinkedIn Twitter Instagram Pinterest Facebook As you know social media requires being engaged to create engagement, how do you keep up?????
6
The same way you create your SEO strategy Facebook is the Google of social media Not everyone is on Twitter, not everyone is on LinkedIn, not everyone is on Instagram EVERYONE is one Facebook (especially with the ease of use with todays phones) Focus on creating and implementing a Facebook strategy Focus on being consistent with your Facebook strategy You may never need to use any others (no one talks about doing Bing searches do they?)
7
Rule #1 for using Facebook for business Your business page and your personal profile are one and the same You will use them WITH each other not separately If you want to keep your personal Facebook separate from your business Facebook, this is not the strategy for you (you can still implement the paid ad’s strategy we will cover through out the work shops)
8
That being said it is important to make sure you have them “connected” Make sure people who want to “check you out” get the same information if they’re checking out the business page or the personal page Learn how to make “engaging” posts that you can use on BOTH profiles
9
Our first step is to make sure our About sections for business page and our personal page say the same thing Q: How many have the about section set up on the business page? Q: How many have the about section set up on the personal page?
10
Included in the about section is your work and education Q: How many have their work as their employers business page instead of their own page? Q: How many have their “professional skills” set up
11
Next is the Contact and Basic Info section Q: Can people find an easy way to contact you? Q: Have you ever put your website address or physical address in?
12
A big part of being successful with Facebook is using the tools hat are available Using the “lists” feature allows you make posts, both on your business page and personal page that are like targeted ad’s You can make 2 posts at the same time that go to different groups of targets
13
Create a list for all the types of people you are friends with (yes you can add people to multiple lists) Q: How many of you have created a list? Q: Have you added everyone on your friends list to a list?
14
Homework – Go through your friends list and ad all real estate agent friends to a list called “RE Partners” Go through your friends list and ad everyone you ever helped with their mortgage to a list called “Clients”
