Two Opposites John 3 & John 4 Identity & Image John 4 The Samaritan women and Jesus. Jesus is reaching across every significant barrier that people create: Racial; cultural; gender; and moral. Jesus: I’ve got something for you that is as basic and necessary to you spiritually as water is to you physically.

Two Opposites John 3 & John 4 Identity & Image John 4 The Samaritan women and Jesus. As long as we think we have a chance at success we think that our inner emptiness is “drive or commitment” and our anxieties as “hope.” As a result we remain oblivious to how deep our thirst actually is!

Two Opposites John 3 & John 4 Identity & Image John 3 Nicodemus and Jesus. Jesus: direct, abrupt, confrontational Nicodemus: Offended? He did not get it. Those who are easily offended miss the point and the grace that could be theirs. Jesus: …don’t be amazed (don’t get offended); provides a biblical context and shares John 3:16,17.

Application But he who practices the truth comes to the Light so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.
