Supervise Young children are fearless, unpredictable and quick

Bruises, bites, burns or other injuries are all signs Often, these children come to centers in clothes to hide their injuries Signs of Abuse Unexplained repeated injuries Constant complaints of pain Lacks ability to seek affection Child displays a fear of adults, including parents child can be aggressive Child appears anxious about routine activities such as toileting, eating, sleeping

Emotional Abuse Abuse of a child’s self concept
Child loses self-esteem due to abuse Signs of Abuse Refusal to talk Unusual behavior Rare smiling or laughing Excessive clinging or crying Destructive behavior Poor motor coordination for age Fear of adults

Sexual Abuse Forcing a child to observe or engage in sexual activities with an adult Sexually abused children may show signs of aggressive or disruptive behavior These children may also express affection in improper ways

Mandated Reporters Health care workers, social workers, school administrators and teachers are Mandated reporters of child abuse. They are required by law to report any Known or suspected cases of abuse or Neglect
