Titanic Anatomy of a Disaster
2
Titanic This is a research project that will incorporate the grade 8 Social Studies text, video media, and the internet. This project may be done in groups of up to three people. As your teacher, I reserve the right to add, subtract and divide groups. Failure to respect the rules means you do it on your own.
3
The Task You will research and document information on the Titanic. You will need to visit all of the online and book resources and document your findings as part of your research. Divide the questions equally among members of your group. Group members are encouraged to make notes while surfing, reading, and watching the video.
4
The Task Each member is responsible for researching ALL the resources (text, video, net). The answers to their questions will be found across all media – not just one area. Each group member is encouraged to keep a journal to keep note of the info they find and where it is located.
5
The Task When your info has been gathered and the questions have been answered, you must organize your findings on a PowerPoint. Consider using images where possible. Each member of the group may want to do their own PPT, then incorporate them into one final project.
