Objective: Girls’ is a program which helps empower young girls to become strong and independent woman later in life. How:The program provides these young girls with practical life skills and information, so they can learn to become responsible adults. Why: Life skills learned in this program will help these girls develop better self-esteem, learn to financially stable, cooperate with others, and resist becoming involved in dangerous activities.

Where: community center When: Afterschool Environment: This aspect is crucial for the program. Girls are only allowed because it gives them the freedom express themselves fully, without the pressure of their male counterparts. Ages: Between the ages of 6 to 12 years Population: Underprivileged females

To prevent young girls from becoming another statistic. To ensure young women have the foundation necessary to succeed later in life.

Economic awareness ◦ To help girls learn how to handle money more effectively. Sport involvement ◦ To learn to cooperate with others, while learning leadership skills. Career training ◦ An introduction in male centered careers such engineering, science, and other male dominated careers.

Increasing a child self can help better cope to daily issues of both home and school. The family benefits from the assurance that their child will be able to face the environmental stressors their neighborhood. Increase self esteem can help these progress in school.
