Methods – 8 Likert five-point questions were entered into SPSS 14.0 – Analysis was conducted into two parts: Analysis of frequencies and One-way ANOVA Data Collection – Free Survey on Survey Monkey – Sent to teachers via email for voluntary completion – Data collected and analyzed using SPSS 14.0 program
4
Data Sources – Survey Monkey, free online survey site – SPSS 14.0 program Data Analysis – Frequencies for each question were calculated Example: Question 1 regarding positive nature of teachers’ feelings towards the book study – 25% had no positive feelings – 25% had slightly positive feelings – 37.5% had somewhat positive feelings and – 12.5% had very positive feelings Overall, amount of overwhelming positive responses towards the book study and its related areas of influence could not be found
6
Data Analysis, cont. – A one-way between subjects ANOVA was calculated between respondents’ positive feelings towards the book (Question 1) and their responses to the other seven questions – Results on one-way ANOVA Mean response to all questions were not likely due to a teacher’s positive feelings towards book study Statistically significance difference between the two conditions, indicating that a teacher having positive feelings towards the book study might be related to them feeling the reading experience was also positive
7
The amount of positive responses towards this book study and its related areas of influence could not be found with the data collected.
