The distinct features of a contemporary house are the use of glass, light and connects indoor and outdoor spaces The decade most common for this type of style started between the 1970s to 1980s Houses of this style are not proportional and are very abstract

Since many contemporary style architecture is used mostly in commercial buildings the number of stories varies Jorn Utzon designed the Sydney opera house which is a famous example of contemporary style Most contemporary style buildings are found In North America
