Space as a void The building is give emphasis by its central position at the front of the school with easy access from the carpark.

The circulations desk is visible from the entrance, the lower level and the mezzanine above. Space as a continuum

A sense of transparency, inviting the outside in.

Space as a continuum The library’s curved lines and open spaces invite movement through and around the various learning spaces.

Curves were incorporated into the walls and furnishings of the meeting room. Glass windows to the inside and outside create a space continuum. Space as a continuum

Political space Spacious workspace, with flexible furnishings with curved lines and an abundance of technology gives a sense that discussion, cooperation, participation, collaboration and futures thinking are valued.

Existential space The clinical, inaccessible displays fail to give a homely feel of ‘belonging’ or place.

Existential space Comfortable, furniture upholstered in colourful soft fabrics evokes memories of familiar places.
