Do you think teenagers are concerned with contracting an STI? Why or Why not?

STIs are diseases spread primarily by close sexual contact or sexual intercourse. Sexually Transmitted Infections are just a new term that is used, it is the same as STD.

Viral: if a virus causes a disease it is possible for it to remain “inactive” for a period (no symptoms) Viral can be treated but NOT cured! You will have it for life!! Genital warts (HPV), HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis B and C and genital herpes

If bacteria or parasitic causes the disease it needs to be treated with antibiotics or antimicrobial medication. Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, syphilis, pubic lice, scabies and vaginitis.

He accused Sarah of giving it to him, since he’d been faithful to Sarah. Sarah has had sex with other partners, but doesn’t have symptoms. Brian would like Sarah to get tested, but Sarah doesn’t want to. What should Brian do?
