1. Christ the Refuge And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. Numbers 35:6

2. The Cities And they appointed Kedesh in Galilee in mount Naphtali, and Shechem in mount Ephraim, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, in the mountain of Judah. And on the other side Jordan by Jericho eastward, they assigned Bezer in the wilderness upon the plain out of the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead out of the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan out of the tribe of Manasseh. Joshua 20:7

3. Provision was made for the Strangers These were the cities appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. Joshua 20:9

4. Kedesh Holy, sanctuary, righteousness, sanctified There is protection in holiness!

5. Shechem Shoulder, strength We have a shoulder to place our burdens upon!

6. Hebron (Kirjath Arba) Association (fellowship) Our fellowship is critical With Him With each other

7. Bezer A fortified place, a stronghold

8. Remoth Exaltation, a valued high place, a special position

9. Golan Joy, great happiness

10. 6 is the Number of Man, but 7 is the number of completion, perfection- the number of God Where is the 7 th City?

11. Abraham searched for the seventh city For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Hebrews 11:10

12. Isaiah looked for it too… In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. Isaiah 26:1

13. We Have Found the 7 th City! Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:1
