8. Outcomes vs. Resources Outcome (formerly known as objective)
Identification and evaluation of the results of an activity, plan, process, or program and their comparison with the intended or projected results or output measures
Resource
An economic or productive factor required to accomplish an outcome OR a means to undertake an enterprise and achieve a desired outcome. Four basic resources are space, staff, equipment, and funding.

Consider how these outcomes support your program review and student learning outcomes assessment: what do the data tell you?
Consider what your department’s resource needs are in terms of the 3 categories: ongoing department needs, next fiscal year, long term planning
Plan your process for dialogue – input and feedback

Remember ~ Outcomes cannot be marked “completed” or “no longer applicable” if resources continue to be requested for that outcome.
