Third, find your users, hopefully ones that know what they are doing. Hopefully you have some. I didn’t. (Hint: you have a list in GP) Be ready to R ead, L earn, (Hint: IIBTKWTFTATTKTA), T each, and C ommunicate! In the end, it will be GREAT!!!!!!!!!

This is a MUST HAVE! – System Password (if there is not one create one) Look in GP for a list of users! – Dynamics / Tools / Setup / System / User – Go talk to them and find out what they really know. What you are looking for is: – The users that know what they are doing. – The users that don’t know what they are doing. – The users that don’t matter. (They only get in once a year)

Well, that depends – Go between your company and your Partner. – Answer what questions you can. – Over time you can Setup new users? Security? Everything! – BACKUP!!!! (Be Paranoid!) – DO NOT EXPECT TO LEARN EVERYTHING AT ONCE! – DO NOT EXPECT TO LEARN EVERYTHING THERE IS!

Skipping the I have already learned that one Search the “Ask The Community Site”Ask The Community Site Search Customer Source Search through your collection of Web Archive Files. Email your Network. Contact you Partner. Then Write-up the Problem and Answer and save it for future reference.

GPUG Summit 2011– Las Vegas www.gpug.com How do we make/keep our users happy? Keep a positive attitude! Find out what they are having problems with and then find a better way. Lots of users do not know all the features. Find short cuts to help your users do things faster! Look for features that you have in GP but are not using. Talk up new features as they come out! As long as your are positive they will be. Most of the time
