What are Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs)? Structured, part-funded, programmes addressing strategic requirements at an innovative and challenging level Partnership between a company and a university New skills and ideas into business through a graduate Access specialised knowledge and technology Improve company profitability Up-skill existing workforce

How do KTPs operate? 26 week to three year programme Full-time ‘Associate’ (graduate) based in company Two days per month expert academic support Budgets for training, equipment and travel

How do KTPs operate? Administration/financial support Access to University equipment and resources Government grant to subsidise cost to company 60% subsidy for first time SMEs 40% for non-SMEs
