4 Page 4 Important Dates l Progress Reports –September 5, 2008 (5 pages, double spaced, 1 column) –February 6, 2009 (10 pages, double spaced, 1 column) –April 20, 2009 (25 pages, double spaced, 1 column) »Qualification (Final) report will require completion of cost-analysis l May 4, 2009 - Finalists selected by judges –Strong dependence on working hardware l Shipping dates/instructions will be issued on/around May 15, 2005 l Packaging to ensure working hardware upon arrival is each team’s responsibility l No onsite construction of hardware (minor repair/maintenance requires approval of judges) l July 15, 2009, final reports are due (only from finalists)

5 Page 5Competition l Finalists with working hardware eligible for grand prize(s) l All teams eligible to compete for competition awards in –Written Technical Report –Presentation –Innovation in Design –Educational Impact –Others TBD by judges l Undergraduate students (working toward 1 st degree) must play the dominant role on teams –Only students working on 1 st degree will be allowed to present and interact with judges

6 Page 6Travel/Accomodations l International Students – Obtain Visas early l Organizing committee will work to provide access to a block of rooms at ‘competition hotels’
