17 Airplane Activity As a group, discuss and prepare 4 questions on post- it notes as you complete your airplane Considering standard(s) alignment, suggested time for completion, and available materials, and points of view discussed, decide on one question you would like to use to direct your investigation protocol. Write this question on a sentence strip. On another strip, write down the standards (in another color) that will likely be addressed during the course of this investigation. This statement will serve as the driving question.

22 Decide on an assessment tool. This should be done before any work begins. Inform students they will be evaluated either through a grading rubric, portfolio assessment, a written essay, or any evaluation tool the teacher thinks is appropriate.
