Register Who am I writing for? Should it be Formal or informal? Informal. Magazine or newspaper readers Be persuasive and descriptive, you are giving your opinion. Try and make the reader understand how you feel about this film

Vocabulary What vocabulary do I know related to this subject that will impress the examiner? Many of the action scenes in The Matrix are brilliantly choreographed The plot was confusing and overly complicated. Harry Potter is set in a magical world of wizards. The cast is full of stars such as Jonny Depp who plays the role of Captain Jack Sparrow. Unsurprisingly, Keira Knightley did not give a convincing performance. The main character was incredibly well portrayed by Gael Garcia Bernal The special effects were disappointing. Include some “ing” and “ed” verbs like the ones in blue. Use adverbs! (in orange)
