3 Nutrition (Vocab) The process by which your body takes in and uses food.

4 Nutrients (Vocab) Substances in food that your body needs to grow, repair itself, and to supply you with energy. Examples: Fats, Carbohydrates, Protein, Vitamins and Minerals.

5 Calorie (Vocab) A unit of heat used to measure the energy that your body uses and the energy it receives from food.

6 People EAT for two reasons: Hunger and Appetite
