5 Cohesion Policy 2007 - 13 Brussels, 9 June 2009 The 5 dimensions (I) Priority themes: –Entry point of the reporting –Covers a variety of measures or a more specific one Type of financing –Nature of the funding (4 possibilities)

6 Cohesion Policy 2007 - 13 Brussels, 9 June 2009 Territory: –Type of zone in which investment is made –Make a choice: assess if project is predominantly rural or urban for instance –Split an operation pro rata between 2 or more codes Economic activity: –Different from priority theme –To be linked to the end use of the investment The 5 dimensions (II)

7 Cohesion Policy 2007 - 13 Brussels, 9 June 2009 Localisation –Indicate the code of the NUTS area where the investment takes place –Provide the most detailed level –If more than one NUTS region: provide common denominator at lowest possible level Amount: –Cumulative basis –In, EU funding for the operations selected –Euro value of commitment made in national currency (use of 1 exchange rate for all programmes) The 5 dimensions (III)

12 Cohesion Policy 2007 - 13 Brussels, 9 June 2009 The data transfer Data (allocation by combination of dimensions) to be transmitted only in electronic form –No manual encoding of data into SFC2007 –Uploading of excel sheet as an attachment in SFC 2007 will be mandatory –Develop a web-service based data transfer linked with SFC 2007
