2. Suggestions for use
To use this spelling bee template you can choose to make it an interactive game with the class or a learning center where individual students can practice their spelling words.
The slides are set to appear blank while students write or recite their spelled words.
On the click of the mouse the correct spelling will appear.
As an class activity. Replace the words in each slide and display on a large screen. Students can write their spelled words on a sheet of paper. When time is up, students get to view the correct spelling and can correct their errors.
As a class activity. Group students in threes and give each group a small whiteboard to write their spelled words on. Reveal the correct spelling for all to see. One student can be assigned as a score keeper for all the groups. Each group gets three errors before they are removed from the game.
As a learning center, add a recorded statement that says the word, a definition, and the word used in a sentence. The student writes their spelled word on a sheet of paper. Then the student can click the mouse to reveal the correct spelling.
Note: only slide 3 has sample for use as a learning center.
