11 Bible Study Technique #3 The ultimate goal of all Bible study is application. Since God wants to shape our lives through His Word, it is important to learn how to apply Scripture to our lives. James, the brother of our Lord said it this way, “But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.” James 1:22

12 Technique #3: The Paraphrase Technique Take the passage and especially the KEY VERSE that you are studying and read it in different translations. Then re-phrase it in your own words. Look up key words in the dictionary. If you can’t put a verse or a passage in your own words, then you don’t know what it is saying. Concluding Question Am I doing what God has said to me through His Word?
