What should be in your school’s bylaws?
The four “areas of conformity” outlined by FNSA Purpose and function Membership Dues Representation Any information required by your school in order to be incompliance with your school’s policies Make a point to review your bylaws every year—try to make a set time Starting a New Chapter handout Make it a point to review your bylaws every year. Try to make a set time for it. Maybe the beginning of every school year or when a new board is elected. In order to attend annual convention, FNSA 1st VP must have a current copy of your chapter bylaws. - Make sure there is a current date on it -all areas of conformity are included - new chapters can contact me for a starter template

Click on “About FNSA” Then, click on “Bylaws” “Bylaws: School Template” Red wording: meant to be replaced; there will be more necessary changes Italic-bolded words: suggested by NSNA, but are not required. May be altered in whatever way needed to create the best bylaw format for your school.

FNSA Constituency Form
Required in order to be a constituent of FNSA Due October 5th if attending convention (prefer electronic copy) If not represented, due no later than November 10th, 2012 Constituency application and bylaws must be submitted annually. 2 weeks prior to FNSA’a state convention or on site during the delegates credentailing process for the HOD. No bylaws? Turn in the constituency form with the intent to create bylaws for your chapter and turn in a copy to the 1st VP. Not attending Convention! The application may be sent to 1st VP no later than 10 working days after the closing of the HOD meeting of the same year.
