Trade marks which are excluded from registration relating to Article 7(1)(h) and (i) CTMR 7(1)(i): CTMs with emblems other than those protected under 6ter Where we are now: current practice 7(1)(i): CTMs with emblems other than those protected under 6ter Where we want to move: future practice

3. Current practice Article 7(1)(i) is now applied when the symbol is protected, preferably, by an international instrument; and only if all the Member States are party to that international instrument

4. Future practice Article 7(1)(i) will also be applied in respect of symbols protected: by an international instrument affecting one or more Member States; by the internal legislation of one or more Member States.
