2 Kinds of Benefits 1. Product benefits A. Your desired result will be more satisfactory than your current situation B. My methodology will move you and your organization from one state to another, better one. C. That movement, by definition, will be beneficial. 2. Process benefits A. Some of the hot buttons B. Some of the themes

3 Benefits: What They Are Inputs: Process benefits –relate to what you will do to move your client and their organization from S1 to S2 Outputs: Product benefits of having the plan –relate to outcomes of your project Outputs: Product benefits of implementing the plan –relate to your vision of the future

5 For Your Grant Proposal Identify benefits in the following areas: –Benefits to participants –Benefits to the community –Benefits to the organization –Benefits to the foundation

6 Budget Have a budget overview/summary at the beginning, often in the form of a table Itemize your budget in your narrative—divide your discussion into sections Justify your budget—if the cost for a particular item needs justification, make sure you explain why you need this particular item and why this cost is reasonable.
